Triund hill, situated at a height of 2850 meters, is the summit point of triund trek. It is a 9 kms long trek with chilly weather at the peak. It is a beginner level trek and can be completed in a day. A night stay is suggested to experience chilling cold and sleeping under a blanket of stars. Wanna see shooting stars? Spend a night here. I am being very technical but if possible try trekking during a full moon. At around 1 AM the moon will rise from the dhauladhar and at that point you will see nature at its best.
It is situated in a village name Bhagsu and is around 2 kms from Mcleodganj at a height of 2165 meters. After reaching Bhagsunag temple and crossing some tight village streets, one has to walk a steep staircase/rocky patch to reach the waterfall. Bhagsunag temple allures a lot of visitors and the waterfall is an amazing experience in itself. Vehicles cannot reach to the waterfall so please plan accordingly.
Whenever people talk about Mcleodganj, there is this eclectic place people refer to and that is Shiva Cafe. It is very close to Bhagsunag Waterfalls. You just need to take a few steps back from Bhagsunag Waterfall and change the direction of your footsteps uphill towards Shiva Cafe. The top view from this cafe is open from 3 sides and you get a good panoramic view of the mountains. The menu is full of options, so fill your tank up, sit back and enjoy the breathtaking view.
